We teach original, authentic Okinawa Kobudo. (Matayoshi system of Okinawa Kobudo.)
Join us and learn the ancient traditional art of Okinawa weaponry. (Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Nunti Bo, Eku, nunchaku, kama, Kuwa and many more.)
No previous martial arts experience needed.
In an attempt to protect themselves from the devastating forces of the invaders, the people of Okinawa looked to simple farming and fishing implements, which the invaders would not be able to confiscate, as new methods of defence.
This use of weapons developed into KOBUDO, or “The Ancient Way To Stop War”.
As Karate, Kung Fu, Aikido etc is all Martial Arts on its own, so is Kobudo a different, separate Ancient Martial Art on its own.
Kobudo has developed from a need to survive and thus we are entrusted with a legacy not to be disregarded. Never allow techniques developed out of life and death situations to become a show or performance. Always reflect back to the origins of Kobudo.
