I feel your pain Kadut01, I have been handed over because he decided to see my daughter in hospital I am stressing that I had no choice in this now I sit with a huge account because he is so expensive the medical aid did not pay everything. I contacted his office to ask to either write this off or reduce because I can not pay this, His office lady phoned me and asked how can I expect this from the dr, I then asked her to at least speak to him first..... the next thing I was handed over..... and R1000 was added by the lawyers. Now if I could not pay this in the first place how the hell must I pay this now. I will never let him touch a child of mine again.... and I will also tell all my friends!!!!!

I have never spent more than 10 min in Dr Smit's office - he always seems to be in such a hurry to get you out of the room. He comes across as arrogant, and even made me feel stupid for having concerns about feeding (I'm a first time mom). For the expensive consultation fee (R705 - Jan/2013) I would expect not to be rushed out of the room in 5 min. This has been my 4th visit, so it is not a once-off experience. I will not be returning.
