Occupational Therapy practice with a passion for assisting those with disabilities and/or work-related difficulties to return to a productive and fulfilling work life.
We offer Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and work assessments to determine an individual's physical, cognitive and psycho-emotional ability to work; and to make recommendations for any intervention and/or support that may assist an individual to return to work. Return-to-Work Rehabilitation or Vocational Rehabilitation aims to rehabilitate and improve an individual's physical, cognitive or emotional ability to work following illness/injury; and includes individual therapy sessions and home/work exercises. Kirsten Beukes Occupational Therapists offers return-to-work rehabilitation to Injury on Duty/Workmen's Compensation patients through the Workability Practice Network. We also offer these services to insurers, employers, companies or any employee who is having difficulty at work. The need for an FCE and return-to-work rehabilitation can be determined by the insurer, employer or employees themselves.
Ergonomic assessments are also available to make recommendations for workplace set-up and seating; so as to prevent pain, discomfort and injury at work among employees.
We also offer Medico-Legal Assessment and Report-Writing. Our experience in this field lies predominantly in road accidents and medical negligence claims.
