I approached TrendWeb to develop an eCommerce website for me. Ricardo da Silva contacted me to discuss what my needs are. I received a formal quote from a Tanya Lewis. During the quotation period, both Tanya and Ricardo were very helpful and always answered my questions via email. After excepting the quote I transferred the required deposit. The following day Ricardo committed to have my website finish within 14 working days. During the 14 working day period, I only managed to get hold of Ricardo once or twice via phone. He committed numerous times via text, voice notes, and email that his team would forward me the required link to my newly developed website. Up to today I still haven't received any link or proof that he or his team members have developed my site. During this period Ricardo requested that I transfer authority of my domain to TrendWeb. Keep in mind that I paid for and registered this domain with a different company. TrendWeb did no work on my domain. On the 19th of March, I send a final demand to both Ricardo and Tanya to show me proof that they have started with my website. The only responses that I got was excuses on why they haven't completed my project, which involved the Coronavirus and load shedding. On the 22nd I canceled the agreement requesting a full refund and my company domain transferred back to me. But I received no response. I called Ricardo from numerous different numbers but he never answered my calls. Only after I started posting reviews about his service did he start communicating with me. Until now Ricardo does not take responsibility for his poor service and empty promises. I still haven't received my deposit back or my company domain back. Lets put all this aside for now. What really got my attention that something is not what it seems is when I truly looked at the employees of the TrendWeb website under the About page. I took the liberty to reverse google search the 5 employee images on the page. 4 out of the 5 pictures came back as being used on different pages. When looking at the employee page, both Nathan Daniels and Jared Philander are traced back as stock pictures that can be bought to use on your own website. Victoria Shaw traced back to a photography website in America and the picture of Tanya Lewis traces back to a Shari Arison who is actually an American Israeli businesswoman. Referring back to the first part of my review, I communicated with Tanya Lewis via email. This is a major concern to me. Does Tanya really exist or is she fake? Maybe she does exist, but the picture of her on the website belongs to a different woman. So does 4 out of the 5 pictures. This really raises the question of how does TrendWeb really present itself? If anything that I have said I my review can be proofed to be wrong I would gladly retract my review and do a public apology. Until then, anybody can contact me to get proof of the images that i reveresed searched or any communication between me, Ricardo and Tamya Lewis.
