I went to ABSA Northcliff about a week ago at 12.40 in order to have one of my business accounts linked up for internet banking. At the 'Enquiries' counter, there was ONE staff member attending and I was the 6th person in the queue. I waited for at least 30 minutes, by which time I was 4th in line but was running out of time and I left. At no stage did any manager or anyone of seniority intervene and although there is provision for 5 staff to attend to the customers, there remained only the single person on duty . This, at a time of day, when many people would have had to use their lunch hour to attend to their banking requirements.Absolutely disgraceful and typical of the contempt and arrogance with which ABSA treats its customers.
